the Modern Prairie Girl at the Peddlers/French Flea Market

Such a fun experience!!!!

I was so excited and honored when Suzie asked me if I'd be interested in being a part of her annual Peddler's Market. Of course I said yes right away and then wondered how in the world I was going to sew all that I needed to when I'd be gone for a week on a family vacation before the market got here! A week full of late nights and early mornings let me sew up all that I needed to and I was blessed with a successful market and a wonderful time!

I shared the booth with my sweet friend, Nancy. Sadly I didn't think to get a picture with her.
(She's crazy talented and super sweet! She made me wish I had a baby with all
her cute baby blankets and clothes!!! No joke.)

My awesome and adorable cousins, Faith & Hannah came out and helped me run the booth.
I couldn't have done it without them!!!!  Thanks girls!!!!

The Peddlers/French Flea Market is full of amazing, talented artists.
Come out next year and be apart of it!!!
Thanks again, Suzie & Nancy!

A Big Move

Hi everyone!
Sorry it's been awhile. Too long actually.
But life happened and I just couldn't keep up!!!

So I'm super happy to say that I've moved back to Indiana!
Yes, back. Because this is where I started life.
Hopefully, as I get more settled in the blog posts will continue.
In the mean while, I'm having too much fun with my family and reconnecting with old friends!

God is so good to me!

PJ's for Little Ones

I love making cute PJ's for little kids.
When I hit on this kimono style pj set from Amy Butler's Little Stitches for Little Ones the other day, I knew that I needed to make them for a little, adorable girl I know.

I pulled out fabrics that would compliment sweet Margaret's dark hair and round cheeks.

Following the sewing instructions for the pjs was all together successful. I had to use my imagination at times, but I like to sew that way anyway, so it wasn't a challenge.
So if you're looking for pjs to make for the 1 year olds and younger in your life, I'd highly suggest this fun and cute pattern.

They seemed to be a liked by Margaret too. Yay!

Right Choices.

We had the best time! Friends, siblings, corn maze, hay rides, Kettle corn, tire swings, cave exploring, old barns, a super fun slide, basketball, Tether ball, and hours of great talk!
Really. The best choice!
Go when you're in the area and when it's open!!!!
(It's just too sad that it can't be open all year round!)

We had so much fun talking and laughing and soaking in the
sunshine while we spent the day together.
happy sewing!  xo, Abi

Special thanks to my friend, Sam, for mentioning in passing the word ‘sundress’ while we were talking about possible patterns and when I was racking my brain to find a name for this design. In turn, I liked the sound of the word so much that I just had to use it! After I made this tunic in knit, it only seemed right to stick the word ‘everyday’ in there too. So the Everyday Sundress has him to thank for its proper name! And so do I.

Huge thanks to my friend Sophie of Smile For Sophie Photography for the
gorgeous finished project photos and the wonderful video!
