I'm definitely sending many airhugs back, Kyla!  I met Kyla, her mom, and grandma at the trunk show that The Rabbit's Lair hosted for Modern Prairie Sewing. Spending time visiting with them (especially Kyla) was so exciting and I loved every minute of it.

 

Kyla's an adorable, energetic, happy little girl. Plus, she's a creative genius. It made me so thrilled to see her wheels turning as she fingered the sewn items from Modern Prairie Sewing while we talked  at The Rabbit's Lair. A couple days later, this popped up on our Instagram feed. What a joy!

Modern Prairie Sewing Trunk Show, Style Show, and Book Signing!!!!!

 

 

 

 

Today was awesome!!!!!!! 

Thanks to Mary Elizabeth and all of her amazing folks at The Rabbit's Lair!!!!!  And to everyone who came by to visit, THANK YOU!!!!!!!  I was so excited to meet you all!  My sisters came with me and we had a terrific time showing off the goodies made from Modern Prairie Sewing. It was a thrilling experience to sign copies for excited little girls and sweet ladies. (Yes! I did sign books. But we kind of forgot to get a picture of that.... oooops!)

 

I need to do more of these trunk shows!

They are fabulous!

She Just Made My Day

LOOK AT THE CUTENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Rosie at QuiltHome (where they happen to sell Modern Prairie Sewing ...) wrote me and shared a little bit of her sewing story with me. She's been sewing for over 30 years! How awesome is that? She purchased my book and has made several things from it, including this adorable KittyJo bag that she whipped up for her sister. Love it!

Spreading the Love

Nothing as sweet as being able to be a part of a growing love and ability in a little cousin's life.

I was so humbled and thrilled to be able to mail a copy of Modern Prairie Sewing as a birthday gift from my great aunt Dot (her Memaw - shhh, don't tell!) to my little cousin for her birthday. Ella's been learning how to sew. My Nanny helped Ella make a sweet dress and now Ella wants to explore the beautiful world of sewing.

I can't wait to see what her little hands make first!

A Maggie bag in the works! And now finished and ready to be carried everywhere! Do you want to see the finished bag? Or do you want to be surprised and see it at a book signing, trunk show, or International Quilt Market? Tell me and I'll see what I can do!

And the Leeway apron and the Simple Wrap scarf pictures? Well. Those girls are some of my very favorites, so I just had to!!!! By the way! The apron and scarf would make fabulous Christmas presents! The style can easily be changed just by what fabric you choose to make your project out of! So just give it go!

I can't believe it!  It's the last day for our Modern Prairie Sewing blog hop!  It's been so exciting and fun to have so many of my crafty & creative friends participate. I almost wish I could've made it last forever! Silly, I know. But this has been too awesome!

Our last-but-certainly-not-least blog hop buddy is Abiah. Oh.my. Will you just look at that? So adorable, fun, inspiring, sweet, bright, precious, cute, hilarious, supportive, gorgeous.... Oh duh. I'm supposed to be talking about the belt! Oops! Sorry. That would be describing my little sis. I am so proud of this girl. When I asked her to be a part of this blog hop, she said, "sure!", then asked me what I wanted her to make. I told her what I almost always tell her, "whatever you want". She decided to make the It's a Cinch belt. And she did it by herself in record time! I've never seen her finish a project so quickly. I love the way she styled it too. See how versital the It's a Cinch belt is? Look at the way April styled her belt and then the way Abiah's wearing her's here!  SO FUN!!!!! Love it! Love you too, Buggsie!

April is so sweet. She walks into our booth at Quilt Market and we girls all have to get our April hugs (and annual-all-A's picture together too). She used LEATHER!!!!  How fun and funky is that?  I love that idea and want to put it into play the next time I make this belt. Seriously. That is just too awesome!
