To celebrate Independence Day - a SALE!

          Hey everyone!
Independence Day is definitely one of my favorite holidays.
The fireworks, the cookouts, the water + sun, red, white & blue. Mostly just what the day stands for - freedom.
A really beautiful word. Freedom won, freedom fought for,
freedom in Christ

So to celebrate this fun holiday, I am having a huge sale over at my Etsy shop, the Modern Prairie Girl
Enter coupon code: SPARKLERS4
to receive 40% off your item!
The sale starts today and ends July 7th.

I hope your 4th of July is uneventful, sparkle-y fun, packed with good food and even better company!
Have a blast y'all!

Over the weekend!

We had a great weekend! All of us girls were a part of the cantata we sang at Church Sunday evening. It was so much fun! Afterwards we burned - er - cooked hotdogs over a very original Oklahoma style campfire. Desserts went all around and then we set off a TON of fireworks!  It was the absolute best. So thankful for such amazing friends!
 Ingenious. Right?
        Lottttsss of ffuunnn!!!!!

Hope your Independence Day weekend was as sparkly!

the 4th of July!!!!! (Let's say it with firecrackers!)

                                                                  July 4th, 1993

                                                                     July 4th, 1995

                                                                          July 4th, 2000

Independence Day has always been a bright and happy holiday in my mind.

It usually meant a family cookout. Watching fireworks at night; maybe in your pj's curled up on an adult lap. Handling your own sparklers when you're "a big kid".

But most of all, it's a time to celebrate the joy of freedom.

Freedom.

No one can quite say it like John Wayne does in his Republic speech for his movie The Alamo!  Have you seen it?  OH! you really should!  It's one of my favorites. (But then again, I'd watch anything John Wayne.)

Lots of Sparkly Love from over here!
